Message by Dieter Reiter, Governing Member of the Munich City Council, Chief Executive of the Department of Labor and Economic Development to the participants of the 12th European Software Conference (ESWC) on November 24 and 25, 2012.
“Welcome to Munich” means welcome to a city that has achieved excellence in two different fields. Munich is a great place to work, to do business and to develop technologies as well as a wonderful place to live and to visit.
Munich's economy
stands for a broad variety of enterprises in numerous sectors, focussed
on high tech and knowledge-based industries as well as on services
as a further important sector. Munich's two top universities, the
Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität Munich and the Technical University
Munich, as well as the 12 further institutions of higher education
and the research centres like the Max Planck or Fraunhofer Institutes
offer great possibilities of cooperation for the business sector.
